Airshow Travel Group Trip – Australian International Airshow 2025

28-30 March 2025
Join me on an escorted group-led tour taking in this incredible airshow showcasing the mighty Royal Australian Air Force, its history and allies like the New Zealand and American Air Forces. This is one airshow you don’t want to miss!

The skies above Avalon are set to erupt when the Australian International Airshow returns. It’s going to be a huge weekend of high octane excitement and fun for the whole family with trade stalls, merchandise tents, opportunities to meet pilots and crew and even sit in the cockpit’s of some aircraft. This once-in-a-lifetime event will bring together the largest variety of RAAF assets ever assembled at Avalon, including historical and modern aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force. They’ll be joined by a cavalcade of civil aircraft including historic barnstormers, WWI, WWII, breath-taking aerobatics and the latest jet power from around the globe.

The team at Airshow Travel are again planning an escorted group trip to Melbourne to take in and enjoy this once in a lifetime event!

Departing New Zealand on Thursday 27 March and spending four nights in a 4-star central city hotel in Melbourne, we’ll be having a personalised guided tour through the Moorabbin Air Museum finishing with a BBQ and a few cold drinks to end (see their incredible display including their rare Sea Venom & Bristol Beaufighter!). We’ll also be visiting the historic R.A.A.F. base/museum at Point Coo, seeing their incredible display (F-111, Mirage, Caribou etc) and also taking in the 3-day airshow which includes the Friday evening fireworks and two main show days Saturday/Sunday and then heading home on Monday.

Melbourne Hotel – King or Twin Room

The convenient location of this 4 star hotel, as well as superb accommodation and exemplary service ensure that guests are treated to a memorable stay in the exciting city of Melbourne. The hotel is located only a couple of steps from the hub of Collins Street. It is just opposite the Southern Cross Rail Station and is within walking distance of the Exhibition and Convention Centre, Yarra River and Crown Casino. Melbourne Airport is just 15kms away.

It offers well set-up accommodation with beautifully appointed guest rooms, with old world charm combined with contemporary facilities including a restaurant and a bar. The hotel is directly across the road from the Kings Cross train station- and even though the entire tour has pre-arranged private coach transfers you are more than welcome to explore the city by train and also travel to/from the airshow too if you wish.
