The Thunder over Michigan Air Show will feature the USAF Air Combat Command F-16 Viper Demonstration Team and much more. Thunder over Michigan is one of America’s leading air shows and is considered the best “warbird” show in America. Held every summer at Willow Run Airport near Detroit, the show features world-class entertainment, unique static displays, and fun for the whole family.

Whether it’s in our B-17 “Yankee Lady”, B-25 “Yankee Warrior”, C-47 or WACO Biplane; you can book a ride in any of the Yankee Air Museum’s historic flyable aircraft and experience what it was like to be a military pilot!

Thunder Over Michigan is home to the world’s largest air and ground battle re-enactment. More than 250 re-enactors in authentic military uniforms bring to life the sights, sounds and smells of warfare. With restored vintage aircraft, tanks, half-tracks and other equipment, the performance truly makes history come to life.
