Warbirds Downunder 2024 was held on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October 2024 at the Temora Aviation Museum and Aerodrome. This two-day event is jam-packed with action, in the air and on the ground, making for a great weekend for your entire family.

Both days are filled with a curated program of historical warbird flight – the full line-up of aircraft will be published as the airshow approaches. The program will offer an array of aircraft from trainers to jets. It will include the full on-site RAAF 100 Sqn collection of working warbirds housed at Temora Aviation Museum, and many more rare and unique former and current military aircraft.

Warbirds Downunder 2024 saw the largest gathering of Warbird Aircraft Australia has ever seen!

Lockheed Hudson, Two Spitfires, DH-82A Tiger Moths, English Electric Canberra, Ryan STM, Ryan PT22, Harvards, Kittyhawks, Warhawk, Mustangs, CT-4s, Winjeels, BT13 trainer, Beech 18, Corsair, Avenger, Beaver, Cessna 0-1 Birddog, UH-1 helicopter, Caribou, T-28 Trojan and Current serving RAAF Roulettes, C130 Hercules and the RAAF F35A Lightning! and the 2026 show promises to be just as impressive – with the possibility of some added extras. The full line-up of aircraft will be published as the 2026 airshow approaches, but until then rest assured that Warbirds Downunder 2026 will once again be the largest gathering of Warbird Aircraft in Australia.

The Temora museum holds a lot of significant history and is world class. The Temora Aviation Museum’s Aircraft Showcases will feature all serviceable aircraft from the RAAF 100 SQN Historic Flight Collection at the Temora Aviation Museum, which includes the Supermarine Spitfires, Boomerang, Sabre, Cessna O-2A Bird Dog, Cessna A-37B Dragonfly, Cessna O2a, DH Vampire, Tiger Moth, Canberra Bomber, Gloster Meteor, Lockheed Hudson, Wirraway, Tiger Moth, Ryan STM S2, and many more visiting Warbirds.

The Temora Aviation Museum sits on the historic site of the largest and longest-running RAAF Elementary Flying Training School from World War II. Established in May 1941, No. 10 EFTS trained pilots until May 1945. During that time, 2,527 pilots mastered the Tiger Moth at Temora, with another 111 receiving partial training.

The museum’s exhibts include; Unsung Heroes, Aircraft of the Royal Australian Navy, The RAAF in Korea, Aerobatics teams in the RAAF, Forward Air Control Operations in South Vietnam, No. 10 Elementary Flying Training School, CAC Wirraway and Boomerang, WWII Operations (including Spitfires and Hudson),Sabre, Dragonfly, Birddog, and Cessna O2, Vampire, Meteor, and Canberra Bomber.

What’s happening on the ground?

At the Temora Aviation Museum there will be a full program of activities on the ground to entertain the whole family including: Fixed aircraft and military displays, Kids zone activities for future aviators, Unsung Heroes stories shared on the speakers, Great food and wine (and coffee), ‘ole time music and entertainment.

Ticket options range from G.A (general admission), Premium Tickets (grandstand seating, priority parking and gift pack extras) and the photographers pit tickets.

We offer packages with flights from Auckland into WaggaWagga, rental car, 4 nights accommodation and 2 day G.A tickets to the airshow from $2,689 per person.
