Located approximately 300km north of Sydney and 150km north-west of Newcastle, Scone Airport in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley is home to Hunter Warbirds – an immersive aviation attraction, cafe, meeting & function centre, located at Scone Memorial Airport, with an awe-inspiring collection of historic aircraft, fighters and trainers on display. Hunter Warbirds features the Col Pay Collection of flying fighter aircraft from World War I, World War II and beyond. Pay pioneered the restoration and display of legendary flying machines in Australia. His legacy is carried on today by the Pay family.
Expect a blockbuster program featuring one of the biggest line-ups of historic warbirds and aerobatics in the Southern Hemisphere, including… Australia’s largest display of Supermarine Spitfires since WWII!, Multiple P-51 and CA-18 Mustangs, world-class aerobatics from the Paul Bennet Airshows Team, featuring solo displays and the Sky Aces Formation Team, Multiple P-40 Kittyhawks, the world’s only flying F4U-1D Corsair, Australia’s only flying de Havilland T55 Vampire, Hawker Sea Fury, BAC Strikemaster, Grumman TBF Avenger, Multiple T-28 Trojans, Pilatus PC-9, T6 Harvard and CAC Wirraway.
Also an incredible array of static aircraft and ex-military fighter jets including an Aermacchi MB-326 ‘Macchi’, Dassault Mirage IIIO, MiG-17F, Hawker Hunter and more.
Gorgeous old-school favourites include Tiger Moths, a WWI-era Bristol F.2B Fighter and Boeing Stearman. Heritage RAAF trainers including the PAC CT-4 and CA-25 Winjeel.

The Royal Australian Air Force (R.A.A.F.) and Defence Australia have historically shown strong support for the event with F-35 flypasts and formation displays including the RAAF Roulettes. We should expect a strong currently military presence to also wow the crowd with their latest hardware!
Gates open daily at 9am, close at 5pm with flying and ground displays from 10:30am-4pm. Offsite parking will be available a short distance away from the airport. A shuttle bus will operate to and from the main entrance gate to the car park.
Free off-site event parking will be available at Scone Race Course, approximately an 800m walk from the event site. An accessible and parent-friendly shuttle bus will operate from approximately 8:30am each morning of the event, on a constant rotation to safely transport attendees to and from the parking area. A drop-off zone will also be available close to the main event entrance.
